Australian NFT startup Immutable raises $200M in funding from investors. It plans to use the funds for global expansion, bringing massive developments to the NFT gaming industry.
Immutable’s goal: to bring NFT games to the masses
The Layer 2 company is supercharging its mission of making NFT gaming a mainstream thing. But more than bringing it to the masses, Immutable wants to raise the bar for blockchain games.
Immutable X has already developed a technology that removes zero gas fees in Ethereum transactions. This economic efficiency allows for relatively easy scaling among NFT games, apps, and marketplaces.
With the fresh funding, Immutable will be able to address growing partner demands.
Temasek headed Immutable’s 2022 funding round
Leading the pack is Singapore’s Temasek, a global investment company. Other familiar names have also provided fresh funding for Immutable. These include Mirae Aset, Declaration Partners, Tencent Holdings, and ParaFi Capital.
Interestingly, Animoca Brands has also joined the band. It’s a venture capital company known for investing in over 150 NFT-based enterprises and blockchain technologies.
In a previous funding round in 2021, Immutable has already raised $410 million.
This year’s round of investments now values the company at $2.5 billion. This huge amount will fund Immutable’s operations and top-quality game projects.
Immutable raises $200M to expand its studio content
Among Immutable’s well-loved NFT games is “God’s Unchained.” It’s an online game where you trade through NFT cards.
Another successful NFT game is “Guild of Guardians.” It’s a mobile game that allows you to earn tradeable rewards.
Following the massive support from investors, Immutable X will expand its studio content. It will also bring further improvements to Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians.
Also, Immutable is looking for the best global teammates
The Sydney-based company is working on its global expansion. Recently, it has already onboarded 4 c-suites.
These include trusted names such as Gill Findlay as Chief Operating Officer, John Boris as Chief Growth Officer, Justin Hulog as Chief Studio Officer, and Katherine Rau as Chief People Officer.
Moving forward, Immutable will use part of the $200M for 200+ new hires in 2022. Thus, the company is inviting more global talents to fill its long list of vacant positions. Posts include a 3D Artist for Gods Unchained and an External Content Producer for Guild of Guardians.
Immutable’s business operations need additional qualified individuals. Positions such as Executive Assistant and Talent Acquisition Managers are calling.
Moreover, Immutable’s teams for Marketing, Platform Design, Game Engineering, Software Engineering, and Test Automation are looking for genius minds. If you ever fall into the category, make sure to grab the chance here.
Indeed, nothing can stop Immutable’s game
To recall, it was in February this year that Immutable announced its partnership with videogame retailer GameStop. GameStop is launching its NFT marketplace with the help of Immutable’s technology.
